Yes it is that time of year again... every Tom, Dick and Harry come out of the woodwork and attempt to solve the Bowl Championship Series, and create a playoff..... Here is my idea.
I would start with the 11 conference champions, then add 5 at large teams, and then rank the teams 1-16 and go from there. The first 3 rounds would be on campus sites, the finals would be in Pasadena, California at the Rose Bowl Stadium.
Here is my bracket:
11 Conference Champions (in alphabetical order by conference):
ACC- Clemson 10-3 (6-2)
Big 12- Oklahoma State 11-1 (8-1)
Big East- West Virginia 9-3 (5-2)
Big Ten- Wisconsin 11-2 (6-2)
C-USA- Southern Miss 11-2 (6-2)
MAC- Northern Illinois 10-3 (7-1)
MWC- TCU 10-2 (7-0)

By the way, make sure to read Death to the BCS by Dan Wetzel, et al, it is a fantastic book, and outlines what is wrong with the BCS and how to solve it. There is also a 2011 version out now.
